M'Linda's Life

The best part of my trip was sharing my daughter's experience. She is really comfortable with her life. Listening to her barter in Wolof was great.

3 "nearby" PCV's visited us. Here they enjoy sour milk and bread.

Squatting and eating with her fingers seems to come naturally.

Carrying 30 liters of water on her head and then pouring it into another bucket is another skill she has mastered.

Pumping water at the well.

Eating out of the common food bowl.

I guess I could have opened the gate for her rather than just take a picture!

Wash day. She has an agitating action that Kenmore would admire!

The garden on the side of her house. Kind of bare now as she has been away from her site quite a bit lately.

The back half of her garden. The yellow cloth is shading her bananas.

From close to the banana tree looking towards her hut.

There's a pretty bird somewhere in this picture.

One of her adorable sisters.

Dancing it up.
